ABOUT ZOCALO MAGAZINE and LINKS TO OAXACA
Zocalo Magazine began in 2003, so the legend goes. It was, I believe, an offshoot of writers and readers who met at Third Monday, hosted each third Monday of the month at Casa Colonial, 105 Miguel Negrete, Oaxaca and who continues to sponsor and support Zocalo.
The Oaxaca Lending Library http://www.oaxlibrary.com/ is the place and where you can meet many of the contributers to Zocalo Magainze. Be a supporter and be part of the community.
Zocalo, or The Jaguar Speaks Online, belongs to writers, artists and photographers and the word ‘art’ is in the expanded version, visual arts, culinary arts, galeries of art, music as art and street art, provided by local kids living on the streets of Oaxaca. This site is for all of you. What will stay online will be determined by YOUR remarks.
You are encouraged to submit your prose, poetry, art and photos to Zocalo. This site is always updated. September news is that EL SOL DE LAS COSTA, the news from Puerto Escondido has been added at www.elsoldelacoasta.com. Look for all the news, all the time at Zocalo Magazine.
